Hello guys! I worked out today (Upper B) for the first time since last week, had two meetings, and then goofed off for pretty much the rest of the night. Today I also started my computer science culminating assignmetn. Here’s Claude’s summary of my night from my browser history (all times in EDT):
~19:30–19:45 — Podcast / Reddit wind-down Started on Reddit reading about indie podcasts — CGP Grey’s “State of the Workflow,” the Unmade Podcast, Hello Internet, Cortex, 99% Invisible. Poked at 8090’s Software Factory / {{REDACTED FOR LEGAL REASONS}}, briefly and checked your 8090 Google Calendar (week of June 8). Looked up Jeff Dujon (Unmade host). ~19:45–20:10 — Admin & paperwork
- Amazon.ca — checked Your Orders / Buy Again
- Gmail (krishna@amitav.net) → {{REDACTED FOR CAREERIST/LEGAL REASONS}} Transfer / bank documents). Downloaded the zip/PDFs and asked Claude to help understand the EV form. ~20:15–20:35 — Focus-music rabbit hole Signed into Brain.fm, then went comparison-shopping for alternatives: myNoise, FlowTunes, amidAudio, the cubny/focus GitHub repo, Google Lyria 3 music API. Detoured into some music videos (Call Me Maybe, Kesha, Party in the USA). ~20:37–20:55 — Banking + headphone shopping Logged into TD EasyWeb, then shopped Amazon.ca for over-ear headphones — looked at Monster Persona 4th/5th ANC and went to checkout (“Place Your Order”). Researched a TOZO NC20 charging case and over-ear-vs-in-ear on Reddit. Checked Proton Mail. ~21:00–22:40 — The big one: r/wallstreetbets + GameStop deep dive This is where most of your night went. Started with SpaceX IPO timing and an Intel “$700k” WSB thread, then fell fully into wallstreetbets — dozens of posts (panic-sell memes, “Times Square right now,” etc.). That flowed into a long GameStop short-squeeze read: Wikipedia, DeepFuckingValue, Mark Cuban’s AMA, Robinhood class-action posts, the “I Hold The Line” parody. You also logged into TD again mid-stream. ~22:40–23:00 — ML/research pivot Switched to r/MachineLearning and r/learnmachinelearning — reading group docs, MVA master’s program, conferences (ICML/NeurIPS/JMLR), Cohere Labs Discord. ~23:00–23:45 — Networking + your resume Looked up Boardy (AI networking bot) and people (Tom Buchwald, Noah Barbaros, Chinmay Arvind). Visited amitav.net, then Overleaf — opened/compiled your resume (amitav_krishna (Copy)) and exported PDFs. Started an Android Studio download (2026.1.1, Linux tar.gz, from MajorGeeks). Browsed lots of r/LinkedInLunatics. ~23:55–01:15 (now June 9) — Late night Checked all your inboxes (8090 Inc., personal Gmail, Proton), glanced at Jane Street’s site, more r/LinkedInLunatics, and finished in Bitwarden looking up amitav.net credentials before logging into your amitav.net admin to start a New Post.
