I am a Grade 10 (going into grade 11) student at Holy Trinity Catholic High School in Simcoe, Ontario.

My research focuses on applied machine learning for the physical sciences. I presented my work on machine learning for quantum state denoising at IEEE qCCL 2026 ([preprint](https://amitav.net/images/paper_v6_final.pdf), [press](https://www.norfolktoday.ca/2026/08/05/whats-good-norfolk-holy-trinity-student-presents-quantum-research-at-international-conference-in-denmark/)). Right now I am researching atomic simulations of light-activated water splitting with the [Material and Process Simulation Center at Caltech](https://www.wag.caltech.edu/).

I was mentored by [The Knowledge Society (TKS)](https://tks.world) from September 2024 - June 2026, which was wonderful! I am on leave as a software engineer at [8090.inc](https://8090.inc) and as a consultant at [Fundomo](https://fundomo.com).
